No one else will do...but you

Hey, I know its mushy...but it is Valentines Day.

Following after shadows
gathering up my dreams
I realize no one will do,
But you

An evening...after midnight
gazing at the stars
I know that your the only one
That can fill my heart

This empty hole inside me
Only you can fill
Make it whole again...
As only you can

No one else in my mind
no one in my heart
Of all the people on the earth
Only you will do

No one else but you
to walk by my side
to travel a lifelong road
with me

If you never come
I'll be left alone
Because no one else but you...
will do

Another spontaneous inspiration from the mind of Chrysler the Great.

"The short poem"

There...I finally wrote a short one!

All

A smile, a word
that is all I have of you
All you ever gave me
I need more, but you deny it

Why do you distrust me?

Mara, Mara

Listing through the reeds
a breeze blows your voice to me

I remember so well when you called
Now I call you from accross the other shore

Mara, Mara, mysterious whisperings
They call to me through the tall grass

But when I come, there is no one
Oh Mara, the face I once saw smile

When you peeked at me and beckoned me to follow
When we ran free through the fields...together

What has happened? I was long away
And now I come back, but you are gone

Mara, Mara, your mem'ry is but a shadow
Your sighing voice haunts me

Have I failed you Mara? Are my Journeyings vain adventures?
Your silhouette wanderes through the forests...Mara, I was not here for you.

Now I must lay me down to weep and mourn
Do you frown on me from above? Does my sorrow make you happy?

Are your listeneing to my laments or is my voice forever muted?

Wrote that just now.

The sound of crying
greets my ears
Why? I do not know
there is sorrow in the land

Why must this earth tremble,
why do sorrow overcome it?
Is there no path to peace,
no road to Heaven?

The world groans,
in pity we mourn over it
Is it our fault?
it is Satan's greed has caused it

He lusted for power
gain it he did
But decieved is he who thinks,
"I will be like the Most High"

His power is short,
his reign is limited
He will die,
cast out, punished for life

The in a perfect world,
we will walk the earth
Free and happy,
all pain will be gone

The Night will End

Blackness, shadow
Dark clouds blot out the light

Dimness, gray vapor
The hopeful grow weary

Tears, suffering
Many have fallen

Pain, sadness
More will die

Grim fear, dim hope
The weary begin to fear

Fear, anguish
Do not succumb, there is hope

Light, peace
The dimness fades

Strength, hope
The patient are renewed

The sun, valor
These showed courage

Faint not, keep on
The cloud passes over

Wind, strength
It lilts past, breathing

Mercy, hope revealed
The darkness has faded

Look! The East
The skies brighten

Hope, peace
Once more has come

Weary ones, rest now
The night is over

Inspired from something Sam said at the end of The Two Towers. He is so awesome and said some very profound things. I wish I could remember the exact quote. It was really beautiful.

A Noble Conffesion

.... sniff, sniff. It was so gorgeous.
Yes I'm still lamenting over it.

This one is pretty sad

Figured it was time for a new one. Wrote this one on the way to Miami in September after watching the Fellowship. You know how Boromir dies at the end and all.

Secret Strength (I don't like that title at all, but I couldn't think of a good one.)
I was weak
yet at your pain
I find new strength

A surge of power
I am not afraid
a strange sensation

I fight on
the pain of arrows
perices my being

Only in this pain
I find an unknown
courage I now posses

Bravery is fear
but in fear
to go on to death

No longer do I feel
the pain has gone
now all I feel is hate

Resilliance
it spurs me onward
I can fight on now

Death's sting
it fades to a shadow
a shadow indeed is over me

I really should have posted a couple Christmas ones I wrote seeing as it is Christmas as and all but for some reason I wanted to post that one. I didn't even really think about it. Maybe I'll post the others later on today.
Well anyways...
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!!!

Heartache

Wrote this on Fiday night late.

Heartache,
can you feel my heart breaking?

Heartbreaks,
can you know the pain I'm in?

Heartcry,
can you imagine my tears?

Heartsounds,
calling for unbrokeness?

Heartache,
can no one stop the bleeding?

How can,
how can you? for I'll never tell you

Heartfelt,
you will be ignorant always

Heartstops,
when...if...you ever love me too

Well, its mushy so don't tell me you like it cause I won't believe you.
Hey, think of my "romance" poems. Do you see a pattern? I was thinking about that the other night. Hmmm.

Otra Vez

Sorry I haven't upadated in so long. I guess I was waiting for a comment...*ahem*
Well here is a poem about the "mother country". lol I've never been to Dublin but this phrase (and the leaves fell over Dublin) just popped into my head so I wrote a poem about it.

Leaves over Dublin

In autumn,
when the colors are bright
I love to remember
the old town of Dublin

Old Dublin,
all her streets ablaze
With chill winds
the leaves fell over Dublin

Gusting breezes,
sights, sounds, smells
I remember them all
how the leaves fell over Dublin

Sit and dream,
of the old town
My mind fills of how I
stood beneath the leaves of Dublin

And even Spring,
can not fade the mem'ry
And so I sing, heart swells
kicking leaves all over Dublin

Across oceans,
I dream myself there
The Winter ice glittering
green leaves shimmer in Dublin

Ever where,
though over all the earth
I will always think of how
the leaves fell over Dublin

Winter past,
and ice is melting
Green buds cover
the trees in Dublin

Blossoms grow,
fresh new buds
Purple heather scents
the air in old Dublin

Lush canopy
strolling in your shade
Birds twitter in the trees
their leaves over Dublin

Luminescence

Th Moon, like a beacon shines
a halo, a golden light
through a dark and misty night

The Moon, its beam always shines
a blue, bright glow
for the weary to follow

The Moon, it luminates our path
it gives a feel of love
like a smile from God above

The Moon, its unearthly rays
to romance it seems to say
"go on, I'll light the way"

The Moon, as it begins to wane
love in its weakest form
brightens at the site of morn

The Moon, when it glows red
the light of the universe
reflects and to us disperse

The Moon, our moon
to us on earth
it has an unequal worth

The Moon, not just giving light
but making the sea tides
upon whose waves we ride

The Moon, a solid rock
yet able light to reflect
to us who on earth collect

The Moon, we gather to see
your blue face covered
the sun o'er you hover

The moon, in wonder of
an eclipse, a wonder
on earth we watch from under

The first poem I have inserted into a story.

My Dreams....

Come with me
and you'll see what I mean,
There's a world inside no one else ever sees
You will go so far in my dreams, somewhere in my dreams
You dreams will come true...

Don't let go
If you stay close to me
In my dreams tonight you will see what I see
Dreams to dream, as near as can be Inside you and me
They'll always be true

...And still I dreamed he'd come to me,
That we would live the years together
But there are dreams that can not be
And there are storms we can not weather...

...I hope that now
That look so grey
Has come near
From far away

To say a word
In kindness to
One who really
Does care for you

Your eyes still cold
But come alive
A steely blue
But no more as knives

That once cut deep
The wound’s still there
Please tell me
That you care

Dreamland continued

The rest of the story.

Dreamland

Have you entered into dreamland yet
have you crossed the golden sea?
Has the sun on the horizon set
are you sleeping peacefully?

Has the moon in her splendour rose
Is she shining large and bright?
Are you watching as her golden birth
Glows throughout the night?

Now as the sun is rising once more
Is your head alseep, at rest?
Or did you wake the whole night through
Was starlight your midnight guest?

I thought I heard a fiant sound
But I guess I might be wrong
Indeed the stars did shine upon
Your room the whole night long

The sun now wakes you
The world is now aglow
So raise your sleepy tired head
You rested now I know

Did you dream the whole night through
Were they peaceful thoughts?
Was your sleep comforted
Or was comfort what you sought?

I hope the night was not afraid
And hope the sky though dark
Kept you warm underneath
Its blanket made of stars

What thinkest thou?

Hey Grym, its for you. Finaly an unromantic one. Ya happy?

Grym the Cruel
(Who once was 'Raen)
I have a friend, her name is Grym
she once had glasses without a rim
Then on day she stood and said
"I think I shall get contacts instead"
So off she went to the Dr.'s place
off cam the glasses to reveal a lovely face (don't hit me, it had to ryhme.)
Even though Grym she be
she is my friend not enemy
There are somethings we like the same
one of them Star Wars by name
And other things like the color green
even though I've made her scream
So we have a special bond
of some things we are both fond
Like writing poems that ryhme
and ones that don't when we have time
And so to you I dedicate
this poem that I know you'll hate
It is for you I wrote it out
"Do you like it?" of that I doubt
Please tell me what you think
from your comments I will not shrink
Oh, most noble Grym the Cruel
over whoes domain doth rule
From your friend Chrysler the Great
whoes power you doth underestimate

Longing heart, Weary soul

A monk's heart:

Standing on the threshhold
of your heart,
I hear it singing sweet melodies
a prayer of a murmuring dove

In deep quiet woods your song
is hardly a song,
Barely a voice can I hear
only the music of holy thoughts

I loved you so dearly
yet I departed,
The calling of God was strong
I have served Him long years

You heard the same faint voice,
you answered,
We parted together, for one reason
we hold now the same truths

Even in the many parted years
we have spent,
Nothing can mar the echo of your voice
I hear it still amid clamour and in silence

Strong though my convictions seem
and years firm,
My heart has faltered and my eyes longed
but unattainable are you, lost forever

Yet because of your absence
you remain,
Forever the same, like a spirit
you still fill the empty space

So now I dare to look upon your memory
where for years,
I would not venture to dream
it is not sin, my conscience is clear

But my place has been filled
I feel the pain,
of knowing life runs its course
yet no room is there now for me

Would that the dead com back
would they too,
fell this great sorrow?
or rejoice in wounds now healed?

The emptienss shall never be filled
true love is irreplaceable,
"but veiled and made fruitfull as time
and nature veil all ruins"

A nun's soul:

Locked inside cold stone walls
the world is shut off,
I have not known life and youth
these years seem as a blur of monotony

I have purposed to break the spell
but I am harassed,
I must make my escape
buth there are others yet I go alone

I am free but my soul is troubled
you are still gone,
you are suffering in a dank cell
they tortured your strength from you

God has given me peace
I know not where,
If you are yet liberated
but my soul is commforted in Him

Alas! A stranger yet familiar
you have come,
My mind goes blakc but I hear
your trembling whispers to me

I am revived, my eyes open
leaning over me,
I see your pale guant face
it is full of love, we are together at last

I wrote this one while reading a book. It was about the reformation but it actually did have some romance in it. I wrote the two parts on seperate days but they go together. The monk and the nun, Frtiz and Eva eventully each leave their convent and get married. It was an exelent history book. Well, G.T.R.

I made her cry!

Today I have become a sucsesful writer. My writing has taken on true meaning.
I declare it, I have passed a landmark.

I wrote a poem for a friend of mine several months ago. We weren't in touch and so I was never able to show it to her. You know which one I'm talking about Grym, Fading Remnant.
Well, she got my e-mail address the other day and we've been writing. So I sent it to her.
And It made her cry! My writing made somebody cry! Me! Can you beleive it?

Anyhow, I thought that was neat. I know you've seen it but for the invisible persons out there who read my blog, (ha, yeah right) I'm going to post it.

“To my dear friend Melanie:
May God always bless her.”

Fading Remnant

I never knew you, never knew you,
but you’re my kin just the same,
I’ve never seen you, never seen you,
I didn’t even know your name.

A fading remnant is my past,
a memory never foretold,
A dark shadow that can not last,
my life you must not withhold.

God gave me people to be my family,
and them I’ve always known and loved,
Theirs was I foreordained to be,
a blessing of God, from above.

Now you live so far away,
and I have found you at last,
Here I just can not stay,
I must find the fading remnant of my past.

Your daughter I may be by birth,
though others have loved and raised me,
Here is my place on this earth,
here is where God placed me.

Though there are others I dearly love,
the knowledge of your presence calls me,
Softly quietly like the coo of a dove
your face I must at least once see.

This fading remnant must not fade,
my heritage not lost,
Mustn’t be buried by another’s spade,
where I’m from, hoe much I cost.

And so to catch this fading dream,
I must go away,
For a time, maybe though hard it seems,
my minds made up I will not sway.

Good-bye to all I dearly love,
good-bye to friends I know,
I stand, look back and wave my glove,
the fading remnant to overthrow.

Productive Vacation

I can't beleive how lame I'm getting. That 's the most awful post title.
Actually, it really should be productive road trip. I wrote four poems in the car on the way down to Miami last Thursday. Four!
Two were inspired by the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the ring, which we were watching. I didn't use any of the names so it really could be anything, but that is what made me think of it. It was dark so I was writting by the light the TV gave off which was not that easy.
The first I called Lady of Light for when Arwin comes to Frodo when he had been stabed on Weathertop, she was dressed in white and was glowing and was a light to him. Then as we were watching the movie I realized I had made a mistake. I'm watching and the Fellowship reaches the heart of Lothlorien, there stands Glorfindel and announces: "Home of Lord Celeborn and Galadriel, Lady of Light." Oops. It was too late anyhow, there was no way to change it and if you read it and know anything about the Lord of the Rings you'll be able to tell it is talking about Arwin and not Galadriel.
I was reading my name book the other day and you know that name (Arwin) is in there under the boys names. It is actually the name Arvin, but one of the alternate spellings is with a "w" since "w"'s are pronounced like a "v"in German. It means "people's friend".

Lady of Light

Pericing the darness
like a white sword

O, Lady of Light
bringing peace with you

Bright rays of light
seperate the evil from us

Who can create darkness?
but light thou hast made

Out of inmost self
you are in the beams

Part of them you have become
in them & of them you are

Lady of Light, and bright hope
hope dawns in the west

But as a star art thou
a glimmer in the dark East

Do not fade, oh snine
ever light up the world

But you have pledged
your life is now bound

Wandering among the lonely
you lay yourself down

Unable to go on
you fade, forgotten

Asleep, peacefully
flowers grow over you

The light has gone out
the star has faded

Gray peace now lies
over a cold, hard land

Rest is there for few
but for you all is dead

I know what you're thinking. Chrysler doesn't even know where the sun sets and rises. Its not talking about that. The West, means the western world and the same with the East. Remember the dream Boromir had? That's where that comes from.
I really don't have time to write the other's down right now. Even if I didn't write a single poem for another, like three weeks, I would have enough to post for the next month.

Settembre de venti-trei, due mille e sei

I am having a "totaly inspiring" week. I wrote two new poems in one day! I don't think I've ever written more than one in a day before.
I only have one with me so I'll post the other one some other time.

Beautiful you
the picture of youth
sooth my seeking eyes

I watch you
like bright petals
clear frangrance of love and life

But my eyes
they see your youth
it is slipping away from me

I knew it would
yet I didn't realize
the pain of your vanishing

I thought
satisfied I would be
with one short mortal life

In eternity
I will always live
but not wholy, for you are gone

What meaning
true meaning has life
without you here with me?

We walked
in the moonlight
love kept us warm in the dark

Even darkness
seemed as light
to our lovng souls

I whispered
your name was to me
as honey on my lips

I looked
deeply gazed at you
your eyes met mine

I'll never
oh, not will I ever
forget the mirror of those eyes

Now all
you are in everything
why does my life continue?

The wind
it whisperes your name
it echoes my dying heart

And yet
life still pulses thorough me
I will remember, but never love again

on a happier note...

A way to Happiness

I've found a way to true happiness,
I'd like to share what I've found,
It's written in an old book,
that few care to read or expound

This book has many long pages,
and if you read them with care,
You'll find of what I've been telling,
a gift of great value and rare

No other offer is there ever,
if you searched the world around,
Why it's become uncommon, I can't tell,
but only love and sacrifice is it's ground

A baby was born years ago,
and grew to be a strong man,
Only one purpose on earth did he have,
and that, to fulfull God's great plan

To die a cruel death alone,
to suffer the sins of the world,
But gloriousely rise in three days,
conquering death which Satan had hurled

Beacuse of His loving hand and heart,
which stays judgement on all who believe,
You can have true happiness,
if this gift you will recieve

Eternal life and blessings are yours,
now with your life humbly serve Him,
Your all lay down, give it back for service,
nothing prevaileth this pwer, we win

Persecution and troubles you will face,
but an easy life, who truly has?
Happiness comes in assuredness,
that you in His presence can have

That blessed peace in your soul,
that comforting spirit of rest,
Your life, make it worthy of Him,
give your all, and give Him your best

What is it?

Wandering through a dark cave
dost thou know the dangers?
With the darkness presing all aound
the drip of water echoes on cold stone

What is that? a sound,
crying, helpless sounds
Is that someone's voice?
a creature calling for it's precious

On hands a knees through darkness
crawling fowards into the unknown
Stretching foward thy fingers, groping
strange, a cool circular object

Thou hast found a thing of great power
small, you stuff it in your pocket
Unknowingly, ignorant to the world
blissful ignorance, innocence sweet

Lost! in a maze of passages
escaped from creatures of evil
One ray of light there is
but what you see is teryfying

In the dimness of gray rays
dost thou not know this creature?
Misfortune is written on his face
pity etched in his features

Grim features indeed! what sorrow
solemn large eyes acustomed to dark
Dank form, are you really living?
a way out you must find

This creature will help you
the passage he knows, ah too well
his fate is decided, he will stay
yet a while, he yet has more to do

A game of witts, a battle for life
riddles in the dark echo
thrust your hand in your cloak
there lies the answer

Confusion, you have bought your freedom
with anger you were lead to light
The precious is missing, where?
you hold it, what is it?

New and Imrpoved

Hey! How do you like the new set up? I had a hard time picking a new template. I almost went with Scribe. What do you think of that one? It looks more old poemy, I think it would go more with my last title.
I like this one a lot, you know I love polka dots.

Can't wait to see that movie with suround sound. That will be so awesome! Like watching it all over for the first time almost.

I have a couple poems you've never read but I'm just too lazy to write it all out, (the're not yet saved onto a Word doc.). I wrote just one short verse the other night and I think I know it by memory so I'll just post that. I should probably write some extra verses and make a whole poem...

Have you entered into dreamland yet
have you crossed the golden sea?
Has the sun on the horizon set
are you sleeping peacefully?
